Camp Bali's primary facilities are
located in a rural community approximately 45 minutes north of Tabanan adjacent
to several small villages. Our desire is to share the old world techniques and traditions
that are typical of village life. Typically we explore Balinese craft and customs but
do include techniques and technologies from other cultures and times.
We can
tailor a program to reflect your interest.

Camp Bali is mainly held at BATI. The spacious property sports two intersecting rivers, fruit trees, farm animals and lush green lawns. Facilities include dormitories, a few simple villas, and large grassed camping areas for tenting. Toilet facilities are western style but cold water only. There is also a volleyball area and a river supplied swimming pool. Nature walks abound and a large waterfall and cove are only minutes through the forest.
Rus Alit, owner of the grounds, is an Appropriate
Technologist, and is world renowned for his simple technologies. These technologies
have assisted 3rd world communities all over the globe. Many of these
technologies can be seen working around Camp Bali. Click on the BATI link for
more information.
