Eduventure Program

Whats an Eduventure? A fun educational experience! Introductory survival programs sound so serious! But can I share a secret? It's just whole lot of fun. Learn how to light a camp fire without matches!

Explore a river bed looking for prawns and crabs! Climb a coconut tree, build a water filter, get water from a banana tree. If thats not enough we also make string, bird and animal traps! We learn how to boil water and cook in bamboo containers. This plus a night campfire, three huge meals a day situated in beautiful grounds in a Balinese village! At Camp Bali our eduventure program concentrates on teaching basic survival skills in a fun and hands on approach . Children just love our program! Unfortunately parents who's children who have taken our program may find the occasional teepee erected in the garden, requested for open fires in yard, pocket knives and survival kits.
At Camp Bali our eduventure program concentrates on teaching basic survival skills in a fun and hands on approach .

See below for our our overnight kids eduventure program. The program commences after lunch on the day of your choice, and starts with  crab catching which is usually met with great enthusiasm. These crabs are then cooked by our staff in a traditional village recipe for the evening meal.

We have group discussions which cover the basic survival scenarios and talk about short term survival skills primarily focusing  on the importance of keeping hydrated. We teach how to gather water from a variety of sources and talk about the importance of sterilizing  it. We conduct a fire starting program and the students try out the fire bow technique. We also show the use of manganese matches and flint fire starting. Each student is encouraged to climb a coconut tree. They are fully harnessed so this is perfectly safe.

The first day finishes after an evening meal with a fun survival quiz.

After breakfast the program continues with cordage making which leads into the  trap and snare program. Students set up their own snares and have fun trying to trigger them. The program ends after lunch with free time to swim in the river and and explore until the 3pm pickup.
