Kukui Nut Oil is a new product from Camp Bali Oils' selection of cold pressed oils for ma  ssage, aromatherapy, cosmetics, lotions and soaps. It is cold
expeller-pressed from the nut of the Kukui tree (Aleurites
Moluccana), traditionally grown for timber canoes. Kukui's
lipid-rich seeds contain one of the finest and most elegant plant
oils available. Known for its exceptionally velvety feel, Kukui Nut
Oil is easily absorbed and deeply penetrates the skin and hair,
making it an excellent conditioning agent. Kukui Nut Oil has been
used for thousands of years by Polynesians as a pharmaceutical and
moisturizer, but recent scientific studies have verified its
effectiveness. |
 Kukui
Nut Oil is a highly polyunsaturated oil containing essential
fatty acids Omega 6 Linoleic and Omega 3 Alpha Linolenic which are
vital for skin health. It also contains the vitamins A, E and F for
effective wound healing. This
rich oil is a great daytime moisturizer that can be used all over the
body, including the face, to tighten and firm the skin. It assists in
skin repair including sun damage, and helps reduce the appearance of
fine lines, wrinkles and stretch marks. It aids healing by
laying down an emollient layer of lipids, allowing the skin to heal
naturally with minimal scarring.The production of this oil is assisting small communities throughout the Indonesian archipelago, bringing cash directly to the farmers rather than benefiting large conglomerates. Kukui trees have been used as a forest rehabilitation strategy in various parts of Indonesia. This crop is traditionally grown within village compounds or plots. Other oil producing crops eg Palm Oil and Soy, are directly affecting the jungles of Indonesia where virgin forest is constantly being cleared for plantations. Kukui trees are not grown as a monocrop therefore the jungles of Indonesia are not being impacted in this way. |
